Lauren + Sam at Camp Lucy
Fall weather in Texas in unpredictable, to say the least. One minute the sun is shining and the next it’s raining cats and dogs. So it was on Lauren + Sam’s wedding day. We watched the weather all week with bated breath, and come Saturday, it looked as though we might get a long enough break in the weather to get Lauren + Sam down the aisle for their outdoor ceremony. And I am happy to say that amid bouts of torrential downpour and many a prayer, we did!

Lauren + Sam were married on the gorgeous lawn at Camp Lucy in a (super short but super sweet!) ceremony on September 28. How much do you love Lauren’s dress? I’m such a sucker for tulle, and add some cap sleeves? Magic. Plus, I adore this shot of Lauren and her dad.

The floral team at Camp Lucy created all of the unique, organic arrangements and bouquets. To pay homage to Lauren + Sam’s alma mater (Sam’s one request-Hook ‘Em!) there were touches of burnt orange throughout.

Salt Lick catered a delicious BBQ feast, and Coco Paloma delivered four tiers of coconut lime decadence.

After dinner, there was plenty of time for celebrating. Lauren + Sam have an amazingly fun group of friends, and Jake Holt was there to capture them in their element.

Lauren and Sam, I was so thrilled to celebrate with you on your big day! They say that rain on your wedding day is good luck, and if that’s true, you two are set. Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Stanbery!
