Lately at Westcott Weddings

Between fall wedding season and the holidays, it’s been a little quiet around here, so we thought we would share a sneak peek at what’s been happening lately… (Or in this case, what’s been happening since June of last year. Eek!)

Jessie and Taylor were married in mid-June at Red Corral Ranch. Their day was inspired by the beauty of the Texas Hill Country, and the ranch’s refined, yet low-key, charm provided the perfect backdrop. So many thanks to Mint Photography for the beautiful images and to Bristol Lane for their wildflower-inspired florals.

At the end of June, we traveled to Larkspur, Colorado, where my sweet cousin, Erin, was married to BJ at Crooked Willow Farms. It was such a dream to escape the Texas heat for a mountain wedding, and even more special to be amongst family. A huge thank you to Michelle Boyd for the stunning images and to Bristol Lane for the beautiful blooms.

You can see more of their day on Style Me Pretty!

Over the 4th of July weekend, Amanda and Jordan were married at Pecan Springs Ranch. It was the sweetest, happiest, loveliest day. Thank you to Feather & Twine for the perfect capture and to Bristol Lane for the stunning berry-hued blooms.

You can see even more of their day featured over on Southern Weddings!

In August, we were thrilled to plan the Brides of Austin brunch to celebrate the release of the Fall / Winter 2016 issue! We channeled all the end-of-summer vibes for this bright, happy, citrus-filled brunch at Barr Mansion. So many thanks to Sarah Goss for the beautiful images and to STEMS for the incredible tablescape. You can see the full celebration here.

In September, Kara and Chris were married at Ma Maison in an elegant, organic celebration. So many thanks to Jenna McElroy for their stunning images and to Bristol Lane for every fluffy white flower. Stay tuned for more from this beautiful day…coming soon!

Later that month, we were back at our San Antonio favorite, Hotel Emma, for Nerea and Alan’s nuptials. They planned a simple, natural celebration, with a focus on food and dancing. There was plenty of both, and the party went into the early hours of the morning (and then some)! All the thanks to Julie Wilhite for the beautiful images she captured of their day.

In October, we headed back to Ma Maison (twice!) for Nicole + Ben and Chelsea + Ray’s big days. I adore this shot Feather & Twine captured of Chelsea and Ray right after their first kiss as husband and wife. So much joy! (And a huge thank you to Wild Bunches Floral for the beautiful work on their ceremony arch!)

We closed out October in the Texas Hill Country at Travaasa for a two-day, Texas-sized celebration for Felicia and Gideon. There is more from this beautiful day coming soon to a blog near you (!), but in the meantime, a huge thank you to The Nichols for this stunning shot.

In November, we got to coordinate our first-ever wedding at The Greenhouse at Driftwood for Bobbie and Brian. Bobbie works at Loot and is one of my favorite vendor friends, so needless to say the day was full of effortless style and impeccable details…and as if it couldn’t get any better, their sweet pup, Kobe, made an appearance for the ceremony and pictures! Huge thanks to Photo by Betsy for this sweet shot!

The following week, Christine and Chris were married in an intimate, mid-week celebration at Mercury Hall. Their closest family and friends gathered for a sweet, sunset ceremony on the back lawn, followed by cocktails and a dinner party. A huge thank you to Julie Wilhite for the beautiful images of their day!

At the end of November, Natalie and Esa had an incredible celebration at Pecan Springs Ranch. Fall weather, autumn blooms (thank you, Clementine!), beer burros, and confetti cannons made this one for the books. No pics quite yet, but I love this iPhone shot that Shalyn Nelson of Love, The Nelsons captured on the day-of.

And finally, we closed out the year with Searcy and Brooks’ December wedding at the always-incredible Prospect House. With a joy-filled sneak peek like this one, there was no better way to end the year. All the thanks to Forever Photography Studio for the gorgeous capture!

Happy New Year, friends! We’re back at it and hard at work putting the finishing details on upcoming spring weddings. Looking forward to sharing more soon…

Ellen and Meredith
