Maja + Ryan at Ma Maison: Featured on Magnolia Rouge!
Maja and Ryan were married on a beautiful spring day at Ma Maison. The venue’s lush landscape and French-inspired architecture provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding day inspiration: “Marie Antoinette has a fabulous party in the country.” Our team was thrilled to work with Maja and Ryan on the overall design of the day, and our focus was on infusing personality, intentionality, and romance into each carefully selected detail.
We are honored to have their celebration featured over on Magnolia Rouge today! Keep reading for behind-the-scenes peeks into each of their styled vignettes, and then click on over for even more pretty.

Guests joined us on the lawn for pre-ceremony cocktails before being seated. These sweet, vintage doors from Bee Lavish allowed us to create distinct spaces and made the ceremony site feel all the more special.

On their way into the ceremony, guests gathered cones of “well wishes” to shower on the happy couple after their “I do’s.” Each herb was selected for its meaning: Lavender for devotion, rose petals for everlasting love, sage for balance, rosemary for honesty and wisdom, mint for protection, and baby’s breath for family. (One of my favorite details from the day!)

At cocktail hour, guests grazed on a beautiful charcuterie display from Royal Fig. Maja’s parents transported their vintage hutch to Ma Maison to be used as the serving piece, and we accented the space with fresh herbs and baguettes aplenty.

Maja and Ryan wrote personal notes to each of their guests thanking them for their friendship, support, and love…and assigning them to their tables for dinner! These notes were tucked into calligraphed envelopes (thank you, Jessica Crowell!) and sealed with a wax fleur-de-lys stamp. We created an ombré effect with the envelopes when we attached them to the wooden wall.

And finally, what Marie Antoinette-inspired day is complete without a decadent dessert display? Bee Lavish supplied the beautiful buffet and serving pieces, and Feathers & Frosting baked an incredible spread, including macaroons, cookies, cream puffs, and cake!
