Lately at Westcott Weddings
I woke up on Sunday morning and realized that there was only one week left in June. At this time next week, it will be July! How on earth did that happen? It was one busy spring, that’s how. In lieu of full posts (which are coming soon!) I’ll just share a sneak peek of what’s been happening lately…
Kayla + Ryan were married in a beautiful, God-honoring ceremony at Le San Michele in late March. This one was especially near and dear to my heart because my husband and I have been lucky enough to walk alongside these two for the past couple of years as they got engaged and prepared for marriage. To be part of their big day was such an honor. Their romantic garden wedding was published on Ruffled last month. Thank you to J.Bird Photography for the gorgeous images of their big day!

In April, Becky + Mike were married beneath a canopy of twinkling lights and live oaks at Sacred Oaks. The day was full of impeccable details: soft spring colors (and plenty of gold!), lush florals, cocktails on the lawn, custom linens, hand-rolled cigars and a band that had everyone on the dance floor. Thank you to Dustin Meyer Photography for his incredible capture of their elegant event.

Brittany + Federico were married on a perfect spring day at Vista West Ranch. Brittany has such an eye–she brought in all of her own place settings and decor for an event that was truly personal, and she and Federico have since launched their own wedding business: Birch and Brass Vintage Rentals. So many thanks to the ever-fabulous Love, The Nelsons for the sweetest pictures of their day.

Later that month, Karaline + Bobby were married on the W plaza overlooking downtown. Karaline planned a chic, modern affair and had their guests partying until the very last second. Thank you to Cory Ryan Photography for pictures that perfectly captured the fun and happiness of their celebration!

And! I have to mention that we went 4 for 4 on outdoor ceremonies. Not a single one was rained out! Given the unpredictable Texas weather, that’s something to write home about.
Amidst the weddings, I was beyond thrilled to participate in five styled shoots with crazy talented, wonderful people. FIVE. Challenging and inspiring on about a million different levels. More on those in the coming months!
I’ve also been working on a little brand refresh, and I cannot wait to debut Ww’s new look. We’re just tying up a few final things…

In the meantime, Happy Summer!
Love, Ellen
