Christine + Faisal at Villa del Lago (Part I)
Christine + Faisal were so much fun. They were planning a destination wedding in Austin from Chicago, and they knew they wanted to be on the lake. Need I say more? Christine and I worked together to refine the look & feel of the day (thank you, Pinterest!), and after a couple of whirlwind trips to Austin and a handful of emails and calls later, the day fell into place. What began as a standard ceremony and reception evolved into an all-day celebration that blended their cultures and families in elegant, effortless style.
The best part? We essentially got to throw two completely different events! In the morning, Christine + Faisal were married by an Imam in a traditional Muslim ceremony. Christine wore a gorgeous red sari, and Faisal complemented her in contrasting white + red. Erin from Rosehip Flora played off the colors of their clothing to build a vibrant mandap on the lawn overlooking the lake and on the tables in the adjacent pavilion. And luckily(!), Jake Holt was there to capture the whole day…

The same vibrant color scheme carried through to the luncheon where single blooms in an array of colors created runners on the guest tables. Whole Foods provided the catering: A buffet of fresh, delicious finger foods + mango agua fresca!

I mean, really. How stunning are these pictures of the two of them? Couldn’t pass them up.

And if you thought this was good, just wait! The evening ceremony and reception is coming your way soon! And, there’s even more over on Jake Holt’s blog.
So many thanks to the many amazing people who made it happen: Jake Holt Photography / Villa del Lago / Rosehip Flora / Randyl Mauldin, Whole Foods Market Culinary Center / Premiere Party Central / Central Texas Valet / LucieMarie
