Hi! I'm Ellen.

I am the owner of Westcott Weddings, and I am thrilled to do what I love. I find joy in designing thoughtful experiences, and I believe that is exactly what your wedding day should be: An event that feels like you from beginning to end. An event that is personal, intentional, and meaningful. Above all, I believe in marriage, and I count it an honor to walk alongside my brides and grooms as they prepare for their big day and for life together as a couple.

Prior to launching Westcott Weddings in 2013, I spent six years in the agency world, consulting with clients like Estée Lauder, GE, and Whole Foods. That experience has proven to be invaluable and not all that different from what I do today in the wedding world, which is everything from creative direction to project management and execution.

To give your day the time and attention it deserves, I work with a limited number of couples each year.

I am honored to have had my work featured in leading print and online publications including Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings, Brides of Austin, and Hooray! Magazine.

Nicolet LaVeau

I was born and raised in Austin. I left briefly for college in Waco followed by a corporate career in Houston and then found my way back to Austin in 2017.

My interests have always gravitated towards a mix of creativity and structure. When I started in the events industry I knew I found a perfect fit! Weddings are my true passion. I joined the Westcott Weddings team after working alongside brides and grooms for several years in the Austin planning market, and I am excited to continue bringing couples’ special days to life.

I am a coffee lover, avid football fan (Go Pack Go!) and watch The Office series on repeat.

Sydney Neal

I am North Carolina born and bred and currently live in Austin with my husband and son. I have a passion for hospitality, details, and creating unique environments to bring people together. Having planned and executed events all over the country, I know exactly what it takes to pull off the most memorable celebration in a couple’s life.

When I’m not busy organizing details and making to-do lists, I spend my free time scouting out all of Austin’s best happy hours, traveling, cheering on the Tarheels, and trying new recipes.

Working with Ellen is simply the best decision we made while planning our wedding in Austin. From our first meeting in fall to our last goodbye this summer, Ellen was incredible. Her skills matched up perfectly to our needs (professional, knowledgeable, smart, warm-hearted, caring, kind). She is an excellent listener and trusted partner. There is a talent to being a great coordinator and conductor. Ellen has that talent in spades. We would recommend Ellen 1,000 times out of a 1,000. There’s a lot of folks out there that do wedding planning. There are very few that have the strengths to do so many parts of it so well. And of course, there is only one Ellen.

Chenyu and Alex, Bride and Groom (May 2019)

We weren’t sure what level of service we wanted in planning, only that we needed some guidance, but my mom knew about 10 minutes into our conversation with Ellen Westcott that we wanted full service and we wanted it with her. From the beginning, Ellen heard and understood our wishes for the day. We have heard from more than several guests, separately, that the wedding was so thoughtful without being overwrought, candid without being frugal, comfortable and generous. Ellen Westcott is a very sweet person, but don’t let that fool you. She’s fearless, packs a punch, knows what’s up, listens carefully, drafts a terrifically organized email, and gets it done. She herded these cats into pretty much a perfect day in all the ways.

Annie, Bride (April 2019)

I wasn’t sure I needed a planner, given the small size of my wedding, but I immediately knew it was the best decision I made throughout the entire process (aside from my groom of course). Every single vendor Ellen suggested was a perfect fit, and she somehow managed to send detailed emails answering questions I had thought of before I even asked her! She understood my vision for the day immediately and executed every detail flawlessly and effortlessly. Ellen has an amazing way of managing everything to perfection in a way that is so calming and reassuring. Ellen is so much more than just an amazing wedding planner, and I am so grateful for finding her and for all of her hard work. She is so caring, thoughtful, insightful, professional, organized, enthusiastic, I could go on and on. She is just SO good at what she does and if you are getting married, I can’t recommend her enough!
